I provide in-depth therapy for individuals, couples and families in New York City, both virtually and in-person. While I work with a variety of concerns, many clients come to me to address the following areas in therapy.

My Specialties Include:

  • Relationships in All Forms

Relationships are complicated, whether they are with family, friends, colleagues, or romantic partners. I help my clients understand their patterns in relationships by helping them identify past relational wounds and recognize what might get in the way of building the connections they want. I provide direct feedback, use visualization exercises, help clients develop compassion for themselves, and use the strong relationship between myself and my clients as a place to practice and experiment.

  • Codependency

Codependency is a pattern in relationships where we are consumed with taking care of others at the expense of ourselves. In other words, if someone is not okay, we are also dysregulated. It can make it challenging to make decisions or advocate for what we need in relationships without feeling guilty. I help my clients overcome these relational patterns by exploring their origins, building a deeper sense of awareness, and developing tools for setting healthy boundaries.

  • Men & Emotions

I help male identified clients develop safe and productive ways to express their emotions and build deeper connections. In our culture, men are often encouraged to internalize their feelings and focus on achieving external success. In therapy, we break down the cultural context and explore issues related to masculinity, external validation, vulnerability and more. I build safe, supportive relationships with my male identified clients that eventually provide modeling for relationships outside of the therapy room.

  • Couples Therapy

My approach to working with couples is to become a member of the “team.” My style is warm, relational and supportive. I provide facilitation and guidance to help couples learn to connect and communicate better, make decisions, increase intimacy and build trust in all stages of the relationship process (i.e dating, premarital, marital, etc.) Working with me feels like having a non-judgmental third party to help translate emotions, identify areas for growth, and celebrate successes.

  • Self Esteem & Perfectionism

We all have different parts of ourselves that become developed over time. Usually these parts originate in childhood. Most of us have a critical part that can make it difficult to feel confident in ourselves or our choices. I help my clients challenge and talk back to these parts and learn to develop internal versus external motivations.

  • Grieving a Parent

Loosing a parent can be one of the most profoundly painful experiences in our lifetime. Grief can forever change the family system and can bring up new feelings, fears and responsibilities. I help my clients navigate the conflict and pain that arrises in the wake of parental loss.
